restarting palm every time I synch

Does this happen to anyone else? I installed Palm Desktop for Mac OS X yesterday. I synch it with my Handspring, and all's well. But after each synch, my Handspring pops up a window saying I have to press the "restart" button below to restart the system. Why? It doesn't happen when I synch it with my Windows 2000. Does this happen to any other macosx-palm user?

Sorry, no, Ihaven't gotten it fixed. Perhaps the next release of the palm desktop...

I believe the problem relates to Palm 4.0 trying to install OS updates to the Handspring (which doesn't support OS updates). Find the updates folder in the Palm folder on your mac, remove all of the updates, delete the .prc file from the handspring if it put it there, and try resynching. Worked for me on my visor deluxe.

Yup, this time it works as expected after I deleted the whole Updates directory. Just wish the synch is faster like on my Windows2000....

Can't help there. Do you use Palm 4.0 release or beta? I know the release version was MUCH faster than the beta, or any previous version...
