I was consolidating images in iPhoto on my Ppc G5 iMac when the hard drive crashed.
I installed a new hard drive and restored the iMac to an operating condition. I also bought an external case for the old hard drive to recover files.
There were some issues with the Filevault sparsebundle not mounting, but I overcome this by using Data Rescue 3.
The sparsebundle disc image now works and can be mounted but it seems that I have lost files that were on there previously, especially everything I had on the desktop.
I am desperately wanting to find all my iPhoto files. I had two copies of iPhoto, one in my pictures and one on the desktop.
I need help on how to open Sparsebundle disc images in an appropriate way to recover all files.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I am all out of ideas where to go from here.
