The contents of my Pictures folder have been deleted. I have done some research online regarding the restoration of my iphoto library from my Time Machine Backup. Unfortunately nothing seems to work.
Everytime I try to start iphoto, I get a message stating "Your Photo Library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable." This is followed by restart instructions... Failing that, to start iphoto whist holding the Command + Option keys. Whilst the rebuild seems to initialise, the process "self quits after a few seconds.
I have gone into my TM backup, located the last proper, full "iPhoto Library" and copied it to the pictures folder... To no avail.
Because I cannot start iPhoto, I cannot browse the backed up photo's thru TM
I have over 90 GB's of picture data which I cannot lose. The stuff is there... I just can't seem to access it
Desperation is setting in.
