i have a mac os x. . .is there a resume builder on applescrip/text edit? or do i have to download word for mac?

TextEdit supports the RTF format, so any resume template in the RTF format will work in it.

That said, I've never liked TextEdit when it came to printed documents. Found it never really got documents to look the way I want. So it really depends on the type of job you're applying to. If you're writing that resume for that really competitive $100k job, I'd get a better word processor. Something like NeoOffice (slightly better) or Word (Better) or Mellel (awesome). Presentation matters a lot and you want to stand out. On the other hand, if it's just a run of the mill job go for NeoOffice since it's free.
