Revealing (and deleting) invisible files

Okay, I'd installed, then deleted Norton Utilities (OS X beta). Now, I have some Huge norton files living in invisible .trash files. I've research kbase on how to get rid of them (they're currently residing in invisible .trash files), but have been unable to find anything on making these invisible files visible so I can change the permission and delete them.

I wouldn't think it would be this difficult.

In classic there is an application:
Invisible Finder 1.1 Ä but i don't know any in X, you can use the terminal to delete the files too...

The freeware utility TinkerTool will make those files visible (and it does other neat stuff, too).
It basically incorporates a bunch of obscure Terminal commands into a preference pane.
