'can i revert ( in a simple way ) back to the orig iphoto' - no.

'... and also take off the other item from ilife 06' - yes. You can delete (practically) anything from your Mac.

so do you think if i take all the photos out of the folders and back them up on another hard drive then delete the iphoto then pull out my orig disk and somehow load iphoto back onto the ibook --- think it will work!!

thanks

chad

'... think it will work!!' - it may.

Instead of trying to revert to a previous version of 'iPhoto', why not attempt to have the currently installed version work?

01. Boot from the installation disc.
02. Locate and select via the 'Installer' menu 'Open Disk Utility...'.
03. Via 'Disk Utility's 'Disk Aid' select your Mac's boot drive and then click on the 'Repair Disk' button (repeat at least once more).
04. Next, click on the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button (repeat at least once more).
05. Reboot your Mac via the internal hard disk drive, and attempt to launch 'iPhoto' (from 'iLife 06').

Post your results.
