Ripping audio from DVDs

I have recently purchased a live concert DVD, which I'd like to rip the audio from and turn into mp3s, etc.

Are there any freeware programs out there that will let me do this with ease? I did a Google search and found Mac The Ripper, but that seems to be more suitable if you want to extract an entire DVD to put on your hard drive; not just the audio. I can only seem to find Windows programs that will do this, but there must be some Mac ones out there, too?

Many thanks in advance.

You could use a DVD ripping program such as Handbrake, then simply cut the video tracks out in Quicktime Pro, if you have that. You may even be able to use Handbrake and rip the audio only, though I've never tried this.

You could also try out AudioHijack (I think there is a free/light version) or SnapsPro, which has a system audio record function.
