take a look at http://ffmpegx.com/
They claim that their program is able to read Real Video and convert it in any other video format.

ffmpegX can convert some Real Media files, but I'm not sure if it can handle newer rmvb files. Worth a shot, anyway. If you try ffmpegX, be sure to select a video codec that uses the mencoder library (as opposed to, say, ffmpeg or mpeg2enc), because that's the only way any Real Media video will come through.
