Suddenly my realone player is playing video but is not playing any sound... I'm using the realplayer 10.1.0 or the real one player 9 for MAc OS X 10.4.11. The problem is only with the rmvb files. I saw there is more people with the same problem, but I coudn't find any answer... Please somebody help me. Thanks.

Try this:

Navigate to Applications ~> Utilities ~> Audio MIDI Setup, in the Audio Output section, check to see what the format is set at.

It should be set to 44100Hz.

If that doesn't help then try renaming the file extension to either .avi or .mpeg and see if QuickTime will play them.

Hey Mr. VirgilTracy. Thank you for the answer, I changed the Audio Midi Setup to 44100 Hz but did NOT work. I also try to change the extension didn't work too.

Anyone else have another suggestion? I still don't have any audio in my rmvb files(ONLY). If somebody knows how to make work please help me.

Thanks.

It's a bit of a long shot, but you could try using MPlayer instead of RealPlayer. You will need to install the optional codec pack, which is available at the MPlayer downloads page (scroll down to the "Binary Codec Packages" section).
