Root Folder?

I was just sent a flipviewer beta version for OS X. In the instructions it said to open the downloaded software in my root folder. I don't no where the root folder is and can't find it with the search tool. Any help? Thanks

The root level of your drive is the very top level of the hierarchy.

In the Terminal, it's /.

In the Finder, it's what you see when you double-click your hard drive icon. The System, Users, and Applications folders are under the root directory.
