Root user in login screen???

I am running my machine mainly as root, but I seldom login as other users for different tasks plus my GF uses my Mac sometimes, so using automatic login is no option for me. The problem is, I hate it that I always have to use the "Other Users" button to use my "standard" root user account.

Has anybody found a way to add the root-user with his own user icon (can be the generic icon) to the Login screen???

hmm...I feared the same! I noticed what you just described when I started to mess around with Netinfo myself, I just hoped that somewhere in the filesystem is a cfg-file in which the users in the loginwindow are tracked, which just get's updated by netinfo...
