Rotating .AVI files

I have a bunch of .avi files from my digital camera that are now on my mac.
I have the latest imovie and QT 7.0 (not QT pro). some of the .avi files were taken sideways (portrait style) with the camera rotated on end.

Is there something in imovie or QT that will let me rotate my .avi files so they are straight up and down? or will QT pro? or any other app ?

I know QT Pro will do it, though it is a bit obscure, hidden in the "Movie Properties" dialog somewhere. I did exactly the same thing with my Digital Camera when I first started mucking around with taking movies.
