I just returned from a 2 week vacation. Prior to leaving, all worked well. I have a Belkin wireless 54G router in my home office. When the cable modem is connected directly to the ethernet port, all works well. As soon as I put the router back in the chain (CAT cable from modem to "Internet-Connection to Modem" then CAT to ethernet on my dual 1.8 G5 (10.4.7), zip. The status lights show Power, LAN, WLAN, ok, but no matter which of the connections 1-4 I use (formerly #4), I get an amber light for that connection.
I would think it is the router, but I pulled out an older LinkSys, non-wireless router and get exactly the same thing-amber light on the numbered connection it's plugged into. I've tried swapping cables to no avail.
Also, in Prefs/Network, I'm configured using DHCP dynamically. Any suggestions? Thank you.
