Hi everybody..!
I've a gateway Router RT 314 for more than 3 years... and very happy so far. Just till recently... when I've got my beautifull iMacG5 and try to use iChat with PC's AIM and can't get video conferencing at all. Guess there's something to be adjusted with the router ...when I find out that since I plugged in, I've never had installed software for it (I can't controll ports/firewalls, etc) and there're many FIRMWARE updates at Netgear support site.
Just that ever since, the system works without any troubles although there's no been software installed ever in any of the 2 Macs we use at my place... magic?
Anyway, I never wonder about this Router till right now, when I'm trying to get video conference but for some reason, it's not possible so far.
I guess that might help if I would be able to install the software/driver on my iMac G5, to update the FIRMWARE, and see how do open the firewire, etc to make video chat possible.
many thanks, Fernando
Any idea... hot to start?
