So, my main comp is a PC with Win XP installed. This PC has to network cards one is connected to my DSL modem and the other network card is connected to a network switch. On this network switch are my G3 ibook and a 2nd pc connected. In Windows XP (main PC) I shared my DSL connection > software router.
I have problems with the Inet connection of my G3 ibook
Things not working
-some websites don't show up like the option page in yahoo, and the support page of apple (the only thing I see is a white page and IE tries to load but the loading bar on the lower right never reaches the end) > no error messages
-I can't connect to any online radio station with itunes. It just keeps telling me "connecting with radio service" showing a loading (?) bar but never does anything
-software updater don't work. If I hit update now button it just shows a loading bar and keep telling me "searching for software..."
Things working:
Entourage (mail apps), ICQ etc., sharing apps like Limewire, most of the websites
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are no firewalls running on my 1st PC. The WinXP firewall is disabled too. I don't know if there is some setting on my mac which 'causes the trouble... I didn't installed a firewall on the mac.
