Run "StartupItems" as a special user?

Hello,

i would like to start a Tomcat Server on my Mac while booting, that means before any user is loged in. This works with StartupItems, but then my Tomcat Server is started root "root".

Is there any possibility to start the Tomcat Server as a special user before log in not as root?

Well if you want to run it for ALL users on that Mac you will have to set the permission for all users that will be on the Mac.
