Runaway syslogd on OSX Lion 10.7.2

Lately I've been experiencing syslogd eating up all of my CPU and slowing my computer to a grind. After doing a little searching in the console, I found hundreds of logs similar to this one bellow.

Oct 29 02:27:58 Chris-Mac-mini mDNSResponder[12]: mDNS_Deregister_internal: 21 4.2.C.C.C.2.E.F.F.F.A.C.5.5.A.5.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.8.E.F.ip6.arpa. PTR Apple-TV-1285.local. already marked kDNSRecordTypeDeregistering

Methinks that it is related to iTunes (10.5) and the bonjour service. Also puzzling, and i think related, is that my apple tv on the same network keeps changing its name to "Apple TV (2)" and the number in parenthesis keeps changing, but that number change only appears on my iPhone not on my iTunes. If I reboot, obviously the process will go away and i will be back to normal operation for a while, but then it will kick back up.

I have a mid 2010 Mac Mini with an after market Kensington SSD. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB of DDR3 1067 MHz RAM.

Thank you for the quick reply, I don't use IPv6, and IPv6 was already disabled on my mac, and I cannot find a setting for it on my router. I have never enabled it on my router and as far as I can tell, there aren't any options for it anyways. FYI I have a linksys E3000 with stock firmware.
 
I sampled both syslogd and mDNSResponder while they were running away (it seems that really mDNSResponder is the one running away, while syslogd is just sucking cpu since it is so busy logging the flood from mDNSResponder.)
