I am up and running on OSX and 8.6! No classic environment on X tho. I use System Disk 3.1 to select Boot Disk on OS 8.6, don't even try it with the default system disk selector. Anyone out there know if you can hack OSX to use 8.6 as classic evironment, I don't want to shell out the cash for OS9 ;p
