Suddenly SafariAlertPanel.nib keeps popping up at startup.... what do I need do? How do I disable the popup?

Is that popup at startup of your Mac, or startup of Safari?
Is there some choices in the popup window? What are they?

You said this happened suddenly... Did you make any other changes to your system, like installing new software, or have you recently updated your Mac's system software?

The popup occurs at Mac startup. Yes I've just reinstalled OS X Tiger and MS OFC X. I've done permissions, done prebindings, cleaned caches, optimized. Yes, installed all new software updates including new Safari yesterday. Now what?

Is that the reason that you reinstalled everything, and that did not fix that issue? Or, it was NOT doing that before you reinstalled OS X?

This is not something I have ever heard of about Safari.
Open your System Preferences, then Accounts.
Click on the Login Items tab.
Do you see that SafariAlertPanel there?
if so, click on that to select it, then click the (-) at the bottom of that window to remove it. Unchecking the box does not remove it from that pane.

Do you mean that Login Items is blank? (not Accounts, of course)
You don't need anything in Login Items, and not a cause for "woe!"
It just means that file is starting up some other way.

Please answer the question: Was this the reason that you reinstalled? or did it only start doing that now after the OS X install? Ok, that's two questions, but they are tied together, OK?
