Safari and Adelphia Webmail.

Hi there all! Hopefully someone has experienced this and also has a fix for it. I am using Tiger, 10.4.5 with all of the latest updates and have just discovered an issue. I have Adelphia as my internet provider and when I download an attachment from their webmail, such as a jpg or pdf, Safari adds a .html file extension, whichI then have to manually delete from the file to convert it to what it really is. The file will still contain the original extension but just add the .html. Now if I download any other jpg or pdf from any other website it works fine. Leads me to believe that it is an Adelphia issue. But what could it be? I have never heard of anything like that before. If someone has experienced this and knows the fix your help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to go through Adelphia if at all possible because they will probably use the excuse that it is because I am on a Mac and not have a clue of what to do. Thanks for any help you may give!!
