Safari and favicons

In Chimera we were able to have favicons in the bookmark toolbar. Is anyone aware of how to do this in Safari or if it is even possible?

They appear automatically in the bookmark menu and in bookmark display. However it seems that there has been no provision made for this feature in the bookmark bar.
