Safari and JS errors

I really, really need to be able to see js errors using Safari - anyone got any ideas on how I might do this?

To log Java output:
First, go to Mac HD>Applications>Utilities>Java>Java Plugin Settings and open the app. It does not matter which one you choose. It will take a second to show, but it will open. Next, make sure it opens under the "Basic" tab and click "Show console" under the Java Console setting, and also check the "Show Exception Dialog Box" checkbox. Click Apply and close Java Plugin Settings.

Now, whenever you go to a page with a Java applet on it, it will show your Java console in Safari.

Ummmm.... Java applets and Javascript are not the same thing.

Unfortunately, I know of no Javascript debuggers for Safari.

I usually debug the bulk of my Javascript using Mozilla (which has adequate client-side tools). Of course, that doesn't help debugging Safari-specific problems (which luckily have been few).

Yeah, I've submitted one. It seems Safari is pretty compliant, but not good at XML...

XML? I thought the problem was with Javascript.
