safari and "localhost"

anyone else having problems with this...for instance, phpMyAdmin doesnt see to work in safari.

A couple of other pages dont seem to work when called through localhost, although some seem to work fine.

tried both webmin (http://localhost:10000/) and Post.office (http://localhost:9090/) and both worked fine.....

MS IE had the same quirk. In some, but not all cases, the localhost keyword wouldn't work. You could get around it by substituting 127.0.0.1 instead.

yep, that fixed it for me.

what does that have to do with rendezvous?

localhost brought up my web server's home page with no pictures. Just the html.

127.0.0.1 brought up the whole thing just fine. Including translucent png's. yay.
