I use FireFox on my Mac Mini ppc, but today I tried to use Safari because I was trying to characterize web browser compatibility of a particular web site. If I point Safari to any external site, it cannot find it.
I can use Safari to navigate to a web server on the same system via localhost, and I can connect to any external site via FF, ftp client, mail client. etc. I also have several web servers and an FTP server running on the system. None of these apps have any problems connecting to external sites-- only Safari.
I checked all the Safari and network settings, and didn't see anything relevant. It seems that Safari is not able to use the DNS service properly, but I can't see any setting that seems relevant. Any ideas?
