safari crashing

Hi
Im now the proud owner of a macbook
Well I will be proud when I can access internet
Safari keeps crashing after about 3-4 mins of use!!??

Its the first thing I opened except to play some chess while waiting for ISP to connect.

So what do I try to do? Take it back to apple?

I have the new OS 10.4.8
Are there any new problems assoc. with this update?

My details
Macbook 1.83 Ghz, 1.256GB, 60GB HD.

How do you connect to the internet?

I am using a cable ISP delivering broadband via cable modem

Have you tried dumping the pref file and seeing if that cleans up the issues? Look for a file called "com.apple.safari.plist" in this directory username/library/preferences. Throw this is the trash and restart safari, might fix it.

Also make sure everything is updated. One other thought, does it crash on the same site?

well it seems that after a couple days it fixed itself??

Maybe shutting it down helped?

Well so far its ok so I'll keep quiet and happy.

Now Im just trying to get real player video content in firefox, but that'll be another post.
