Safari Hanging Problem

On one of my OS 10.4.3 partitions, I have encountered this problem: When I use Safari 2.02 to look for mail at my university server, everything stops. The beach ball comes up and I must restart to use the computer. I can go to all other on-line resources at the university without any difficulty. I can use Safari normally for all other sites. I have two other 10.4.3 partitions, and all is fine with those two. I have trashed the Safari preferences to no avail. I have used Drive Genius, Techtool Pro 4, and Disk warrior without solving the problem. I have 1G memory on the 1.8 Ghz G5. The other partitions are clones of the one on which I am having the problem and they're fine. Any ideas? Louis Kuslan

Download my app, Mac HelpMate, and run the cleaning routines. That has been known to help with such issues.

Thnak you Sourcehound, but it did not help. What I finally did was to erase the partition, and clone it from one of the other partitions which was almost identical. L. Kuslan
