Safari reinstall

I want to reinstall safari. I was having difficulty getting flash to render in it and it was suggested to me (at the apple store) to remove and reinstall it. I removed it and tried to reinstall but I kept getting errors saying that it would only install on the older versions of tiger. I new to macs (obviously) and am not sure how to get out of this pickle. I use Camino now as my browser and am happy with it but it seems like the system help menus are tied to Safari because now they don't work....any ideas?

Did you download and install the latest version of Flash? BTW, the QuickTime Plug-In handles Flash animation by default. It does a good job, but is based on an older version of Flash. To get the Flash plug-in to work, you may have to disable Flash in the QuickTime Preferences Pane.

I'm not too worried about flash now, I can see it in Camino, my now preferred browser.

I would like to install Safari. I'm not sure how tiger works but the system help menus seem to be integrated with Safari. My system help menus are not working properly and I would to regain the lost functionality. Installing Safari is my objective. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot.

Safari and Help Viewer are separate applications. Like web pages, Help files are HTML-based. On some circumstances, Help files can get mis-associated with your web browser.

ok, that makes sense. in any event though, i would still like to reinstall safari. anyone got an idea of what I need to do.

i tried again. I tried intalling Safari 2.0.1 and it tells me I need OS X 10.4.2. I'm currently running 10.4.4. The Safari updates won't intall either. Any ideas?
