Safari scrollbars disappear

Intermittently the scrollbars in Safari windows disappear. I can only fix it by quitting Safari and reopening it - then it is fine.
Any thoughts

Can you still scroll with the arrow keys? I have not seen that problem happen with Safari.

I have experienced the same thing! Instead of quitting Safari, I just open the same URL in another window and then close the scroll-bar-less window (it helps that under Preferences I have New Window Opens With Same Page selected, so all I have to do is type Command-N). It's a work around, and it shouldn't be necessary.
