Safari - Slow app launch?

Hi,
I've been using safari seamlessly since september.
Just within the last week it's encountered a problem.
On the first load of each powerbook session it takes ages (around 70-80 dock bounces) to load. After that first load it runs fine?
It's not to much of a problem, just being picky, is there anything i can do?
I have tried an archive and install, used disk utility.

I would try the following with Safari. First, empty Safari's cache, and delete the com.apple.safari.plist file from home > Library > Preferences. Second, reset Safari's history. Finally, quit Safari, go Home > Library > Safari, and trash the contents of the "Icons" folder. When this folder gets too large (say 1 MB), it can slow Safari down. Maybe it can cause another problem on the new version.

Also repair permissions. Macitosh HD > Applications > Utilies > Disk Utility
Select Macintosh HD in Disk Utility and press "Repair Persmissions"
