Safari Slow

Recently, when i use safari, when i click a link or open a page, it does nothing, or loads very slowly, yet if i refresh the page it loads normally. i have a macbook with 2 gigs of ram, 2 ghz, and os 10.4.
i have tried clearing the cache, cookies, etc.

Run some maintenance on that Mac. Download either Yasu or Onyx (the 10.4 editions) and run the system cleaning routines. After the program reboots the machine, reboot the Mac again. This will build up your Startup & Shutdown cache for reboots.

Doing this should help.
