In safari the buttons on web pages are bubbled aqua style. Is there a way to make them display like the web designer intended them to be? I want to shut of the blue bubbles. Attached is an example of what I mean.

Currently there isn't...Safari disregards CSS applied to most form elements.

This should probably be moved to the Web Design forum though.

Thanks!

I thought it was a question about Safari, the sftware. Not creating buttons thats why I put it here and not Web Development.

I wish Safari would interpret the code for the buttons to be displayed the way the designer whats them to be displayed insted of putting its own button in.

Thanks, Michael

Yes you can. You are correct in thinking that CSS and Safari buttons won't work but you can use images. See my example at http://www.dctechav.com/ See how the submit button is not an aqua bubble? It's an image. :p Maybe that'll help?

I'm not trying to create buttons for web pages, I'm trying to view them as they were intended by the web designer. I was trying to find out if safari had an option to view pages as designed rather then how Safari wants them to be displayed.

mfsri,

sorry mate. at the moment we won't see CSS overriding Safari in terms of FORM button, input, textarea, etc... yes we are really annoyed.

as mentioned by mdnky (let's assume we are in Web Design forum), you most probably have to design the page that suite the Safari button style... unless we hope to see some improvement (for Safari) in Tiger. :P

CSS buttons and scroll bars would be awesome. Opera can do it, and, maybe some day, Safari. We can only hope.
