Saitek Cyborg 3D USB Causes Hang

My Saitek Cyborg 3D USB joystick causes my system to hang on a restart or shutdown in either the installer or OS X itself. BTW, unplugging it during the hang will allow OS X to resume normally. None of my other USB devices seem to cause any problems.

Mine is plugged in and my Mac boots fine. I don't know if it works, but having it installed is Okay for me. By the way, I'm on a beige G3 with a Keyspan USB card (USB is not native).
