Samson C01U USB condenser Mic for Mac?

Has anyone had recent experience with this mic on a Mac?

In reviewing the customer review comments at Amazon.com, I'm hesitant about making a purchase. These negative reviews are more than a year old, so I wanted to find out if others have had success with the Samson C01U on a Mac

Rave reviews for windows users, and I have had personal recommendations from two people I trust, but both are Windows users.

Anyone in the know?

For the microphone that got a lot of podcasters rave reviews was the SnowBall from BlueMic.

Yes, thanks, I am also looking at Snowball. But I do like the idea of the single directional aspect of the Samson because I have some background noise in my office.
