Hi out there, just wondering if anyone has come across compatibility problem between Mac os and samsung clx3175fn printer? Printer/scanner works fine with laptops using windows but getting nowhere fast with Mac. Can overcome printing issues (almost) using CUPS page to modify printer but cannot get scanner facitlity to work. As printer works fine with laptops using Windows, problem is not with printer but Mac. Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this. Any answers? Please use simple terms as not very computer language literate!!!!! Thanks

What version of OS X are you running? Did you try to download the drivers? Did you add the network printer via Printer Setup's + command? Did you put in the IP of the networked printer in your browser window to look into the printer to see if it has Bonjour running?
Hi, thanks for the reply. I have Mac os 10.6 and have downloaded every available driver from Samsung in connection with this printer. Part of the problem seems to be that the connection between printer and Mac is via USB and not a wireless networking printer so entering IP No does not apply in this case. Sorry, should have mentioned this in my 1st post.

Download the shareware (in has a 7 day trial) Print Therapy and see if it can fix your printer problems.
Plus in System Preferences->Print & Fax pane and right click in the left hand column and select "Reset printing system". Lastly another fix is to delete the printer and then hitting + sign and re-add the printer.
