After a routine and otherwise successful upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6, beyond re-setting a few appearance preferences etc I've noticed a really irritating problem.
When saving a series of images from the internet one at a time into a folder on an auxiliary hard drive each time I press 'Save As' the default save position reverts to the main hard drive rather than the specific chosen folder so that each time I have to drill down several levels to get back to my folder. This clearly isn't supposed to happen and of course didn't happen with my previous OS. It's very time-consuming.
Any ideas?
(Sometimes (but not often) if I choose icon view I can "hold" the chosen folder in position for my download series).
