We are trying to install a Microtek 8700P scanner under Tiger and Scanwizard 5 cannot locate the scanner, which is hooked up usingfirewire (we know it works fine on a G4 running OS 9) However it wont find it in Classic either. I have done a firmware reset. When the scanner manager probe comes up it is set by default to usb and when I change it firewire it can see the scanner, but reverts to usb again on closing. How do we overcome this?
