Can someone please write a screen lock app? It's amazing that Apple didn't include one (I believe the PB had something, but not anymore).
 
The builtin screensaver prefereences allow you to set it to require your password to unlock.

You can lock the display manually (rather than waiting for a timeout) by either using hotcorners, or simply manually running the ScreenSaverEngine.
