Scheduled Tasks (Crontab)

Has Crontab been made defunct? I had scripts running from there previously but I can't get them activated now and it mentions using Launchdaemons in /etc/crontab? any ideas.

I'm pretty sure cron is still working as are the rc.* scripts but that will apparently change in the future.

I'd look at the com.apple.periodic-daily.plist for an example of how to set up a daily task.

I've been trying to get it to work for starting up postfix at boot but I haven't figured it out yet. Apple's documentation isn't very specific as to what you have to do to make it work.
 
Yep. Guess launchd takes over from now on... No idea, however, about the new stuff right now. :) Sorry...
