ScreenDump Fileformat.

Hi All.

I have been asked to change the file format on a lab of computers who log in to an Open Directory Master from PDF to PNG or JPG.

All the machines are Panther clients, so the tip I found which is meant to work for Tiger machines doesn't work.

It was

defaults write com.apple.screendump type PNG

I have tried this under my user account on the network, logged out and in, and it still does the screenshot to PDF.

I have tried this as root, and rebooted the machine - and it does the same.

Any Ideas?

Have you tried TinkerTool? Once you install it, select the 'general' tab there is a section in the middle that allows you to change toe screenshot format. However, I'm not sure if it will be compatible with Panther.
