Search does not work in Finder, help, please...

After I installed pro tools, the search would not work in Finder.
No Matter what I type - O items.
Could anyboby help, please?
 
Assuming you're using 10.4, make sure your documents are set to be searchable, and your hard drive isn't set as "private" in the Spotlight preferences.
 
How do you set the documents to be searchable and why they became not so?

YOu are right, the pro tool set up made me disable spotlight indexing by dragging the hard drive icon into "privacy". I'll see if the finder is going to work after I swithch back and turn the pro tools off.
