hi all
i've just bought a second hand g4, which although old, is fast enough and has a satisfactory spec for my needs.... but
i want to change the owners name, and shortname, passwords etc.. passswords are easy but the shortname is a problem, i cant seem to create a user account with all the permissions of the owner, so that i can then delete the owners account. i'd like to start again with a clean install of tiger (that it currently runs) but there are some pgm on the HD that i want and dont have the install disks for..
is there anything i can do??? ....maybe even get into the terminal and rename the root user from there??
