I've recently decided to try to hook up my old Wacom Artz II drawing tablet to my iBook 500. Since the tablet itself uses a serial connection, I bought a Keyspan Serial-to-USB Converter.
There are no official drivers for the tablet since Wacom and Apple don't want to support legacy hardware. I've tried every OS9 and OSX driver I could find but have found none that will work. When I hook it all up, I can't even get the converter to show that it is piping the tablet into the system. I think that may be because there are no drivers for it.
Has anyone been able to get their serial tablet to work in OSX? Although there are no official drivers, I'm sure somebody has made a hack to get it all to gel together. I can't afford to buy another tablet that matches the size I have now- it was quite an investment when I first bought this one and I don't want it to go to waste.
