I run a small lab for a student newspaper. I dont have a great deal of experience with the Mac culture or philosophy, but I do know Unix.
Recently Ive been charged with finding a font management solution that will work for a server-based repository of fonts. Ive done some research and it seems that the vast majority of such font management programs are based upon the assumption that the user in question will only want to manage fonts on their own computer.
This is of little use to me. Ideally Id like to be able to do this with a minimum amount of money spent, since the budget for the newspaper is tight.
I realize that there may be no better solution (that doesnt cost several thousand dollars) than Font Book. Id like to hear your thoughts and see if I cant do something to solve this problem.
