I am running a Linux Server with afpd/atalkd for several OS X Clients and just some left over OS 9 machines, now people report to me, they created a new file on the server and another client just won't see them in the directory, strangely the file appears after they rebooted their system.
Does the Finder present a cached view of the server contents or what could be the problem behind that?
I haven't seen this happen myself yet, still believe there is a problem, so, if someone ever encountered such a problem, help, since this is sort of a difficult question to google after
