Setting 'Home Page' in Safari

Hey, I am using Tiger (OSX 10.4.3) on my 20" Flat Panel iMac. And the v 2.0.2 for Safari. Each time I set my Homepage, I quit and reopen Safari, the home page resets to http://www.apple.com Is there a bug in Safari? Or am I doing something incorrectly. To change the homepage I go to Safari>Preferences>General>HomePage and type in the website's name I want to use as home page.

Can anyone please solve this issue?:(
 
Check the info on the com.apple.safari.plist file from (home)/Library/Preferences. If this file has become locked, then the setting will not be updated. You can also try deleting this file (make sure safari is closed at the time).
