setting up bootcamp

Hi I have an recently bought an imac but need to install windows i started the set up made the partition and inserted the disk, from then on the screen is just blank, i worked out how to get out of it back to mac ( with the option key) but i still need to install windows, what do i need to do?

Well, you simply follow the BootCamp instructions. If the disk is partitioned now, restore the initial setup by starting the BootCamp Assistant again and combine the partitions to 1 Mac partition again. Then reboot and start up the BootCamp Assistant again.

1.) Set up partitions with BootCamp Assistant.
2.) Insert Windows XP SP2 or newer installation disk when asked. (An earlier disk simply *WON'T* work!!!

There's more tips for later, but this way, with the right installation disk, the Windows installer _should_ simply be started correctly.
