sh-2.05a# error

I was updating my software from 10.2.3 to 10.2.8 when I restarted the computer I got the gray screen with this on it sh-2.05a# Ethernet (bmac): link up 100 mbps - full duplex and it just froze there. I dont know what to do can any one help?

When you did the update, did you do it through Software Update? You should be able to apply the Combo Updater installation which is always the safest option.

Yes I did the update though software update. now I dont know how to boot the system; or even reinstall the the OS

well want to reinstall os 10.2.3 but I dont know how. I cant get the disk to boot. can you help?

Hold down the C key once you hear the startup chime (make sure the disc is in the drive first). That should boot the Mac to the disc. Then perform the installation. Once that's installed, download the Combo Updater I linked you to above and install that. Make sure that the only peripherals connected are the keyboard and mouse.
