Share internet connection using OSX Serv

Hello.
So here's what I would like to do.

I want to share internet from my OSX Server to a regular OSX client machine. My OSX Server 10.5 machine has airport and ethernet on it. My internet comes wirelessly over Airport. My OSX Client machine only has ethernet.

Simple, right?

I followed the instructions located on Apple's site, page 18 at:
http://images.apple.com/server/macosx/docs/Network_Services_Admin_v10.5_2nd_Ed.pdf

It didn't work.

After carefully following the written instructions, down to the letter, not only did it not accomplish my goal, but it broke some stuff. Local programs on the OSX Server can no longer access the internet- such as Safari.

Those programs used to work just fine before following those instructions.

Now I have two goals instead of one:
1. Restore all local programs' access to the internet.
2. Share the internet from Airport to Ethernet, without cheating and just using a regular Mac OSX client to easily do the job. I want to use Server for this.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
