Shared HP PSC 1610 on Dell prints garbage from iMac

I'm having trouble printing a simple Word document from the iMac to an HP PSC 1610 which is on the Dell. I am able to share files between the two machines fine (both are on same workgroup, etc.) The HP prints pages of junk (instead of what it should print.) We used to have the 1610 running locally on the iMac with no proble. But we had to move it to the Dell, where it works fine printing locally. But when I try to print from the iMac across the network to the Dell, the printing is garbage. Suggestions? Thank you. Des
