Whenever I try to open AIM, I get the message:
"The application "AIM" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "=<AOL Instant Messenger (SM)><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CarbonCore><>"
And it's not just with AIM. Microsoft Word is the same:
"1<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_CarbonCore><>"
This happened literally overnight. I simultaneously lost my Shockwave Flash Plug-in. This happened once before, but I was able to reinstall it. However, because of the shared library error, I'm not able to install any applications.
I'm working off a G4 Mac PowerBook with Tiger OS X v10.4. I just got it a few months ago, so my technical skills with Macs are limited.
Any advice?
Thanks.
